A Gladiator was an armed combatant who entertained audiences in the Roman Republic and Roman Empire in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals, and condemned criminals. Some gladiators were volunteers who risked their legal and social standing and their lives by appearing in the arena. But mostly were slaves who fight for their lives to continue living.
In Spartacus Gods of the Arena, we have seen so much action from fearsome Gladiators. The fight was held in the modern arena wherein two opponents shows their manly strength to reach the next level and continues living. That was the way of life in the city of Capua wherein slaves acts as the entertainer of those who had power.
