The Town, which is based on Chuck Hogan’s novel Prince of Thieves, is an upcoming action crime thriller film directed by and starring Ben Affleck. The film follows the action of four Charlestown, Massachusetts bank robbers as they are hunted by law enforcement. Ben Affleck plays the lead character as Doug Macray, a professional thief and is the existing leader of a group of merciless bank robbers who boasts from stealing what they want and getting out unstained.
With no real attachments, Doug, who is the master of them, has never to be afraid of losing anyone close to him. With gang’s latest job which is briefly taking a bank manager- Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall) as a hostage, everything changed. Though they let her go without having sustained physical injury, Claire was distressed with the fact that the robbers knew her name and where she holes up. But she lets her guard down when she meets Doug – an unpretentious and rather charming man whom she was developed yet was not able to realize that he is the same man who caused terror in her the previous days. On the other side, he strives with this newfound love while escaping from Adam Frawley (Jon Hamm), a persistent FBI agent who’s looking to catch him and his group before they rob another bank.
Other casts also include Jeremy Renner (as Jem Coughlin), Chris Cooper ( as Doug’s father), Blake Lively ( as Krista Coughlin), Slaine ( as Gloansy) and Pete Postlewaite.
